Hillsborough
Our client dialogue began by email with a requirement of construction of stonework on a new build and the restoration of several existing structures.
A site visit confirmed that the existing reclaimed materials on site were suitable for reuse.
Sustainability was a key factor in the project, both in the recycling of any materials on sire and in the use of lime mortar (NHL 3.5)
The buildings were restored sympathetically and any new construction elements were carefully matched to existing work.
The mortar joints were wire–brushed when set to achieve a textured finish exposing the aggregates.
